Agency History
Farr Insurance, Inc. began on the east coast of Florida in 1956. In 2003, Lat and Cindy Farr purchased the Barre J. Yeager Agency in Venice, FL and continued the business as Farr Insurance Group, Inc. Our Sarasota branch office opened in 2007.
Brief Insurance Biography
Lat graduated from Florida State with a B.S. degree in Risk Management and Insurance. He has 25 years agency management and ownership experience and 4 years insurance company management experience. Cindy graduated from the University of South Dakota with a Business Management degree and has 10 years agency experience and 20 years insurance company experience. She was the St. Paul Companies’ Florida Marketing Manager for many years and a MetLife Property and Casualty Agency Manager for 2 years after St. Paul sold their personal lines division to MetLife.
